Mill Museum

The attraction and fascination of this museum is that visitors are offered a complete ‘package’ of the culture and history associated with the large industrial windmill as evolved in the Zaan region. The museum provides visitors with a comprehensive impression of the rise and fall of a once thriving industry based on wind power through the collection of artifacts within, outside and around the museum. In addition the museum can show various aspects of life in the windmill era not readily evident when visiting the windmills themselves. Come and take a look for yourself.
